Sabatti 470 NE

This is a Sabatti 470 NE ejector rifle that I bought from a member here a few months ago. It was re-regulated by Ken Owen's. It is in good shape with a couple of handling marks.

I installed a new Falcon Strike recoil pad. At the time there wasn't any brass available so I bought 120 rounds of Hornady DGS--those 120 rounds cost $1200. I shot 60 rounds to have the brass.

This is a very good rifle in a great cartridge. I just prefer bolt-actions and like to use rifles I have chambered and bedded myself.

$6000 shipped for the rifle, Redding Dies, 60 pieces of once fired brass, 60 rounds of Hornady 500 DGS bonded, and 300 Swift A-Frame seconds.

Selling my Sabatti 470 NE. The reason is I bought a Krieghoff 470 with an additional 20 Ga barrel. This Sabatti has been re-regulated by Ken Owens. I used rifle with a Burris Fast Fire 3 reflex sight. Last used on hunt in 2021 for buffalo and giraffe. I have also attached a Falcon Strike recoil pad to replace red pad. Falconstrikeusa

To provide some perspective. If someone was to order a new one today in this caliber it would cost $8400. With the reloading supplies plus ammunition you can see this is a very nice offer for someone looking to get into a DR for the first time

That's a screaming good deal, especially considering it's been regulated by Ken. If I didn't just order a Rizzini Rhino then I'd be all over this!

Agreed!.... And Ken Owen is probably the world expert on Sabatti doubles and knows his stuff.

This is the test target he sent me when I had him replace the front sight on mine.

No. It attaches with 4 screws. This is better shown in the original post that I linked to.

Looking at the older thread it looks like there is some damage to the front sight. Is that still the case?

I remember seeing that picture and thinking the same thing, but not noticing it on the rifle. I'll take some close up pics of the front sight this evening
