I purchased this rifle new around 2009 and used it for a Tanzanian safari in 2013. It has never fired factory loaded ammunition. Barrel break in and brass fire-forming was done using minimum charge loads following the Shilen recommended method. The brass was then used for load development and hunting ammunition.

The entire firearm and bore is in very good condition. The scope rings were aligned and hand lapped prior to installing the scope. The scope is still perfectly clear and the illumination works as good as new. It has been stored in a dehumidified vault since purchase.

I retired several years ago and since that time, I have confined my hunting to North America. I no longer have use for this rifle, so I am selling it, the accessories, reloading equipment and reloading supplies listed below. I prefer to sell them as a combined lot to make things easy to sell and to make it easy for someone who wants everything needed to hand load and hunt.

The .416 is a classic cartridge. While not the biggest, it will still kill anything on the planet.

Package price $3,250 + shipping & FFL transfer. No sales to California or outside of the US.

INCLUDED:
Ruger RSM 77 in .416 Rigby

Beautiful! Won't be here long!

Beautiful example of probably the best "factory" dangerous game rifle ever made in the US.

Congrats to both buyer and seller. I think the new owner will be well pleased!

Great rifles. Ruger never made a dime on them. They were simply far more expensive to produce than they could be priced in Ruger's market. One of Bill's last personal contributions to American hunters.

Great deal! I own the same rifle/caliber and have used it with great success on many animals!

Best super grade Ruger 77 ever made I wish they would make them again .

Just wanted to drop a note and express my sincere appreciation to @browningbbr - I picked up the Ruger this morning and it, along with the reloading equipment, was packaged exceptionally well, and received in short order to boot. I am more than pleased with the rifle itself. It's evident that he took great care of it as I do with my own, and I look forward to using it.

Also- this is the first time looking through a Nikon Monarch African... and I'm very impressed with the sight picture, clarity and relief. I'll be looking for more if they come available as I've read that they are very reliable in addition to the aforementioned qualities. Why does it seem like these manufactures discontinue all the good stuff??

Because the good times are gone....
The world expects plastic waste and gets it....

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
