Sitting in safe forever. Already own a 416 RM & a double - don’t really need this.

I’ll get some more pictures later - bore is bright, shiny - stock has character marks - no big gouges. Open sites still operate as designed, 1” rings

$1250 OBO - I’ll split shipping

This model was my first DG rifle. They balance well and are built properly for recoil management. The tang safety is intuitive and fast to operate. I highly recommend the early Ruger Express rifles as a lot of gun for the money.

Swapped recoil pads - it is 1/2” longer - but I actually prefer it with open sights/red dot

Those are awesome DGR for the money and i love the action and the best safety ever for a DGR safety .Bill Ruger made sure those 458 wm tang safety rifles were built like tanks .

I had one. Wish I still had it. The second, front, recoil lug design was ingenious, in that it hooked around the action recoil lug.

I have one just like that and absolutely love it! It is well worth that price, if I didn't just order a 416 Ruger I would be very tempted to buy this!

9lbs 4 oz is weight (unloaded) no rings
Fantastic rifle, looks like a new one, I have had one for over 30yrs & shot many many Buffalo-Bantang with it & lots of other animals.
Mine is a bit lighter, around 8 1/2 or 3/4lbs does have a different barrel fitted !

Very good buying I’d say.

Thanks for checking! Short people problems take me out of this one but it's a great looking rifle.

Understood, it’s still a stock rifle - just added a longer pad.

Easily swapped out for something that will put you back at 13.5” LOP

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .

I have quite a bit of 458 win mag brass, most of it new. How much are you looking for?
