Rip Cord or Global Rescue Annual plan

What's your choice for an annual plan?
What's your experience with them?
Any Issues with resolving a claim?

I have multiple trips planned in 2026 and have had both in the past, but can't decide based on current offers.

I have gone with global rescue. I think they are very similar.

In talking to both at SCI and DSC I just felt better about global rescue. I also like the phone consult option they emphasize ripcord might have something similar but they didn’t explain it as well if they do.

Ripcord was awesome in 2016 when I needed them to get me out of the CAR. Without me even asking them, Ripcord pent $10k on a charter for me and also changed all my Air France tickets and hotels at their cost. They supplied a former French SFO escort as well. I incurred zero out of pocket expenses. They kept my wife informed of all logistics. I cannot think of another company in any industry that gave us better service with zero hassle. That says a lot.
