Rigby Dagga Boy Award III Updated Rules And Conditions For 2025-2026 Season

I can't imagine releasing it via kindle has much cost at all. I would appreciate if you could look into that.
I have suggested that to the team - thanks for your input!

it’s very unfortunate that there will be no printed version. My family took great pride in helping my dad write the story of our hunt together for his first dagga boy. We were looking forward to showcasing them in our homes as well as sharing with friends. It would be nice if at least the individuals who took the time to provide a story be given a printed version. All that being said it seems like an awful long time to problem electronic version.
I certainly understand and have had several conversations with the marketing team about various proposals.

Thank you for hearing us out and expressing our frustrations.
Absolutely! I appreciate that you are taking the time to communicate honestly and openly.

I am happy to report that I did have a meeting a few moments ago with the Rigby management team and they decided to go ahead with a printed version of the book!

The marketing managers are looking at the details, costs, and timelines and are going to get back to me and I will update you all when I have it.

Fantastic news!! I hope to enter volume 3 later this year so if I am successful in making the book it will be wonderful to have a printed copy

WOW! what a cool, and may I say VERY gracious contest offer from Rigby and Co, Cape Buffalo has been added to my upcoming Zimbabwe Safari, Just wish I had a Rigby rifle to hunt for an old smooth bossed teeth worn to the gumline bull.

Good luck everyone, this will be one for the history books!

We look forward to your submission to the competition! Best of luck!

I received an update on second Rigby Dagga Boy Award book printing that I wanted to share.

It is going to be a smaller batch than the first edition and we anticipate having it available for purchase in the summer of 2026.

There will also be an electronic version available.

I will keep everyone updated as I receive more details.

Just sent you a PM.
Many thanks Mr. Davis!

My wife entered in the second award and I will be willing to pay for the printed version in advance.

We have a copy of the first book and it is a VERY nice book, for the price it is a great value.

Rigby thank you for the decision to print the second award book.

FANTASTIC! I will be ordering several copies (since I'm in it and want to leave a legacy copy with friends and family)!!!!

I appreciate all of the encouraging support! I know that at this time they are not planning on any pre-orders but I will be sure to post an update here if something changes.

On a different note, I checked with the team that is gathering submissions for the third Dagga Boy Award and to date there have only been 11 complete submissions.

Those are pretty damn good odds when you consider than both the winning hunter and PH are each awarded a rifle!

There is still time to enter! Here are the rules again for your convenience:

I submitted my story to the Rigby Dagga Boy Award II, knowing full well that there was no chance I would win. I wanted my story tobe included, as it gave me an excuse to get the book, read the other stories, and see how much cooler their experiences were. I believe it ended up with around 70-73 stories.

I was fortunate to make the second edition in 2023/24.

I'm hunting in Mozambique in August. Fingers crossed!

That’s great! Even at 70-73 entries the odds are pretty good! I wish I could enter!

Thank you for offering a printed copy of the second edition. I definitely will order one. Wonderfully enjoyable reading.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
