John Rigby & Co. is announcing the retirement of long-serving US Sales Representative Gary Duffey, who will step down from his role at the end of June after eight years of dedicated service to the company and its customers.
Gary, who joined the company in 2018, has played a vital role in Rigby’s resurgence and growth in the United States, helping to strengthen the company’s presence in one of its most important international markets.
Throughout his time with Rigby, Gary has worked closely with customers, dealers and industry partners across North America, helping to build the strong reputation and loyal following that the company enjoys today. His contribution has extended far beyond sales alone, serving as a trusted ambassador for the Rigby name and values throughout the United States.

His knowledge, professionalism and genuine passion for both hunting and the Rigby brand have helped us strengthen relationships across the country and connect with countless customers, many of whom have become lifelong friends of the company.

As Gary prepares to retire, Rigby is pleased to confirm that Slade Stevens will become the primary point of contact for all US-based dealers and industry partners. Alongside his existing role as Head of Big Game and Highland Stalker Rifles, Slade will lead Rigby’s engagement throughout the US market, ensuring continuity for longstanding trade relationships while continuing to support the growth of the brand across the country.

“Slade has been a key member of the Rigby team for many years and has developed strong relationships throughout the sporting community. His knowledge of our products, his understanding of the US market and his commitment to the customer experience make him exceptionally well placed to take on this responsibility.
