Good day AH community!

We are excited to once again offer this unique and exciting adventure! Each year, this experience not only provides unforgettable memories but also plays an important role in supporting the care, security, maintenance, and growth of our private rhino population going forward (they tend to be able to eat quite a bit lol!).

This hunt remains one of the most modern and affordable ways to complete your Big Five and reach that sought after hunting milestone. Every friend and client who has joined us thus far has said it was one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences they’ve ever done!

The experience takes place just a comfortable four-hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. The concession is home to multiple rhino (exact numbers kept confidential for security reasons), and you’ll need to stalk in close to make your shot count. Though their eyesight may be poor, their sense of smell and hearing is excellent. It is a true test of nerves when you are within 20 to 30 yards of one of these giants!

Once the hunter has darted the Rhino with the prescribed vitamins, a licensed veterinarian immobilizes the animal from a helicopter, whereupon blood samples, micro-chipping, DNA ID’s, pregnancy tests, and several check-ups are administered as part of the management and well-being of the animal on an annual basis. There’s no expensive insurance required for the rhino during this hunt. The trophies we’ll be looking at typically range between 20 and 22 inches. For privacy reasons, specific location details are not shared publicly.

You’ll be guided by an experienced and highly knowledgeable dangerous game PH, so rest assured—you’ll be in great hands.

We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new friends on this exciting experience!

While I completely understand that this is s "green hunt" is there a sliding scale / cost difference in the hunt depending upon the Rhino's horn length ??

Good day AH community!

We are excited to once again offer this unique and exciting adventure! This year marks our sixth year hosting this incredible hunt, and we couldn’t be happier to share it with all of you. Each year, this experience not only provides unforgettable memories but also plays an important role in supporting the care, security, maintenance and growth of our private rhino population going forward (they tend to be able to eat quite a bit lol!).

This hunt remains one of the most modern and affordable ways to complete your Big Five and reach that sought after hunting milestone. Every friend and client who has joined us thus far has said it was one of the most rewarding and exciting hunts they’ve ever done!

The hunt takes place in Limpopo Province, just a comfortable four-hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Once the hunter has successfully darted the rhino, a licensed veterinarian will conduct several important tasks: taking blood samples, performing microchipping (if needed), completing DNA identification, pregnancy checks (when applicable) as well as other standard health checks and assessments as part of our ongoing care program. There’s no expensive insurance required for the rhino during this hunt. The trophies we’ll be looking at typically range between 20 to 22 inches. For privacy reasons, specific location details are not shared publicly.

You’ll be guided by an experienced and highly knowledgeable dangerous game PH, so rest assured—you’ll be in great hands. And if you’d like more than just a photograph to commemorate your hunt, the quality of modern fiberglass reproduction rhino horns and shoulder mounts is truly outstanding. Let us know ahead of time, and we’ll take the necessary measurements once your rhino is down to ensure an accurate reproduction mount.

We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new friends on this exciting experience! The hunt looks as follows:

I was one to scoff at these type hunts until I went on one…talk about exciting!!!!! You still have to do everything right. My experience was we walked for hours until we found him and the wind and his incredible hearing blew us off twice before I could close to 20 yards for the shot. What you don’t realize until you do this type hunt is the dart takes time to work so I should not have been surprised when after perfect placement of the sleeping dart he charged me with a thorn bush saving my butt as the PH pulled my shirt to get me behind it

I did this hunt last year with Bayly Sippel Safaris, and I found darting a rhino to be more of a spiritual experience than any hunt I've done previously! The lodge at their main camp, most likely where this will take place, is the best lodge I've ever been in.

I'm also looking forward to it during 2026! It will be the first time that I'll be taking along my wife and son on a DG adventure.
Looking very forward to hosting you!

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
