Pre-64 Winchester 70 9.3x64 Brenneke - The mystery continues

'have both pet pre- and post-64 CRF&E M70s. They are extremely accurate and reliable! Same for some custom Mausers. With respect to push feeds, it's all over the map (and IMHO not the wisest choice for DG, which also includes PG that'll kill you when wounded!) It's quite possible that the post '92 Stainless CRF actions may actually be stronger and with better tolerances...my 1-hole .416 seems to think so! 'Saw a beautiful Portuguese SS M70 in .338 WM at a shop a few years back-still kicking myself for not buying it as I've not seen one since. It did have a very trim barrel for mountain hunting or lots of walking, but i wondered how it shot, how it performed, soaked up recoil, etc.?!

it's always been said that push-feeds are cheaper to manufacture-and there it is. But, not absolutely required for non-DG, and many custom push feeds shoot superbly and win awards! Factory rigs are often finicky to say the least. They need "hot-rodding."

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
