Its not high taxes it is corporate greed and the consumerist American ethos-where everyone wants to buy a bunch of cheap useless shit that will be thrown out in a week. China has mastered catering to this niche. Corporations are owned by shareholders and their responsibility to their shareholders is profit maximization. Enter China. Now originally American corps thought they could control China if they set up shop or manufacturing there. But in reality that is what fueled China's rise to superpower status.
Not factually accurate.

They took operations overseas because of high corporate taxation and regulation. Full stop.

If you think it wasn't taxation and regulation that drove them out, perform this thought experiment.

Image a United States where the corporate income tax had been repealed, and the earth salted.

Now see if you can figure out how many American businesses would repatriate themselves to US soil, and how many foreign companies would choose USA as the base of their operations.

Every business in the world with the capitalization to do so would domicile themselves here.

Eliminating, or at the very least vastly lowering, corporate taxation is probably the best thing we could do for the future of our country.

Same with the tariffs. Trump said get rid of all of them to the G20 and they begged off that idea.
Can never figure out the people that say raise corporate taxes. Who the hell do they think pays them?

Call me anything you want but when we started taking in people that were not from Western civilization, the problems started.
So the problems started over 200 years ago when the Chinese came to build the railroads? ;)

No, two hundred years before that.

Let's see. If the government gives me between the Feds and State about $600 a week and I make $15/hour (a lot less in some States) and also make $600 (minus gas, taxes etc.) a week then there is no reason for me to go to work.

You are right in that it is not being lazy. It has to do with the fact that there is no incentive to work for low paying jobs. It would be stupid to work for less than what the government gives you for not working.

Yep and if you live in a small town in Kansas have a wife and two kids make under 45000 a year. You get free health care. Not a bad life cheap rent. A lot of older homes setting empty. Sad but this is the largest group in America on public assistance.

I sold a house onCFD for 600 a month a buyer working for Catetrpillar..900 weekly…he was fired…no show. I was getting 750 for rent.. after the current situation he says he is not interested in a job as long as he can get employment and Fed subsidy..quote I just do not want to work hard any more..I am 45 and my friends make more with little work...Quote…I offered him a job for $17.00 an hour. Nope

Well he is lazy. The problem with his thinking is this unemployment won't last forever. I'm not to sure I would have offered him a job if hes a no show. He probably was trying to get fired.

Considering that corporate income tax is just a dishonest form of VAT (an unknowable* VAT rate at that), yes, absolutely. Get rid of it. The only reason, the one and only reason, income taxation is still a thing is because it gives legislators and bureaucrats power.

*sorta.

FEE, Cato, Hoover, and a few others with [Austrian/Chicago] economics fellows estimate 20-25% of what we pay at the register covers the corporate tax all the way up the supply chain. If "the poor" had any idea how badly the federal government is effing them over on this (and making them believe they're soaking the rich guys), Washington, DC would be razed tomorrow.

With regards to lifting people out of poverty, the left wants the safety net that is social security along with all the added fringe benefits attached to that but the person on benefits has almost zero incentive to actually be a productive member of society. The left's version of social upliftment is largely based on emotional and short-sighted policy. The right want policies that are STATISTICALLY based and don't incentivise behaviour that LEADS to poverty such as policies that promote the family unit (we all know the statistics relating to fatherless homes, only having enough kids that you can afford) as well as a policy that gets people off drugs and makes them actually work for a living.

Welfare recipients currently get free money every month, free housing, free medical, money for each kids they push out, cell phones/air time/data, free schooling, free college/university, etc etc etc... why would anyone want to actually have a job? Your welfare along with a little "black market / illegal" income and you can have quite a cushy life!

Under the current system there is no incentive or big stick to get anyone off welfare. We have all seen the memes like "If I have to take a drug test to earn a living then the welfare recipient needs to take one in order to receive their welfare".... we all clap and applaud this meme and think "Yeah I agree!!!" and we move on to the next... Why is it not implemented??

As a welfare recipient if you want part of my paycheck then you have earn it by doing the following:
1. Actually look for a job. (and take a job even if it is "beneath" you!!!!!!
2. Stay off drugs.
3. Stay out of prison.
4. If you haven't had a job in 4-6 months then your benefits get cut or removed.

There are far too many feckless waste of oxygen individuals feeding off the system!

Now, the right isn't saying (from what I can gather) that there should NOT be a safety net but that unless the above is adhered to you get squat. It's not unreasonable.

As for immigration into the USA, you simply cannot just open the border as it currently is, that is all borders and flights in etc. The policy is basically if you can slip into the country you won't be thrown out. This may not be policy verbatim but it is the reality. Again there are no consequences for illegal actions but if I apply for a HOLIDAY visa and knowingly or unknowingly make a mistake on my visa application then chances are good that I'll be barred from obtaining a visa for several years!

It all boils down to making policies and governing with your head or your heart. It ABSOLUTLY HAS TO BE 90% HEAD AND 10% HEART.... Without the head policy and governance then you won't have the money to to do the heart stuff.

Rant over. Here endeth the lesson ;)
If you want a clear example of welfare, spend some time in Singapore. Nobody is neglected. I've seen little old ladies old enough to be my great grandmother making their contribution by sweeping the streets and footpaths. The name of the game in the democrat/socialist control world is dependency.

Taxes can't solve the problem. Industrial capital naturally tends to where the level of production costs is low. Reduce the patches, cancel the public consumption funds - and production will turn around. However, who will buy the products then? But that's another question.
There is a way to keep production even in a hostile economic environment, it is called "protectionism". "If you want, make sneakers in Malaysia-but only the Malays will buy them." Approximately this was suggested by our well-known agent, but you know what happened to him.

Check out this article, this is so sad. I wonder what our enemies are thinking of us?

I sent time in Singapore and I did not see anyone hurting nor little old ladies sweeping the streets. Clearly capitalism is alive and doing extremely well in Singapore. Perhaps the cleanest city that I have ever been to. That said, I would not want to get crosswise with their legal system, not real fond of caning.
