Poaching on the rise?

Rhinos and Elephants get all the attention, but the scale of bushmeat poaching is what’s really sad. I can only imagine how much that has increased in certain areas and will continue to increase if this continues.

I read this article the other day. People who don’t understand hunting in general, but more specifically Africa, are unaware of the balance hunting dollars keeps.

I am sure there are many trackers, skinners, cooks and housekeepers who understand the benefits of game management and conservation. If their livelihoods are yanked out from under them they still have to eat. A couple of hungry nights will make anyone start thinking about using their knowledge and skills to feed their family regardless of legality.
