The location is 340 miles from O.R. Tambo International airport and 31 miles from the Botswana border in the North West Province. It's close to a very small town, called Piet Plessis. The area is very popular for cattle farming and it's been called the Texas for cattle farming in South Africa. This is the beginning of the Kalahari desert (also called the Green Kalahari), before getting dunes. The area has very thick sand with a mixture of bush and open plains. No mountains.
