Booked a night trip trolling for walleye in Feb for this past weekend in Oswego NY with Bill and Dakota Capwell. We went up a day early and fished the salmon river for steelhead. Due to the late winter there were still plenty of steelies still working their way out of the river and into the Lake Ontario. We landed 15 steelies and had on a few more. A great morning! Here are some pics. IMG_6684.JPG IMG_6692.JPG IMG_6695.JPG IMG_6699.JPG IMG_6705.JPG IMG_6707.JPG

I think NY is underrated for its fishing opportunities.

Looks like you had a good time.

Skunked on the Walleye! Long winter seems to have pushed back the bite. This likely is what kept so many steelhead in the river.

For the walleye we trolled 4 stick baits for 5 hours and only caught one big ugly Bowfin. It was probably 7-8 lbs. I had never seen one before.

The last pic is from the Lehigh river the previous day. Looks like a brown trout.
