Here is a Field Ranger from the Klaserie Nature Reserve, SA where I have had the privilege of an ethical fair chase open hunt on totally wild game. This ranger is one of 26 brave men who risk their lives every time they leave the compound fighting rhino poachers in the Klaserie. He is standing over 30 of the 620 dead rhino that have been poached so far this year in the greater Kruger park which to see was frankly horrific. The Klaserie Nature Reserve sell 30 buffalo and 6 elephant hunts every year which completely fund the anti poaching operation therein. The money from my buffalo hunt included. This harvest is completely sustainable as only 1.25% of the buff and 0.5% of the elephant population are hunted in the reserve. Like hunting or not these are the facts. No hunting, no anti-poaching effort and no rhinos.
