Cody, On which ranch/pasture will the hunt take place? Nilgai offer one of the best hunts in the US. in the late 90s we had around 30,000 acres leased on Kenedy Ranch, Telefon pasture. I miss that lease.
Mike, We have been fortunate enough to have several great locations adding up to a little over 200000 acres of prime South Texas Nilgai land. We hunt on the Kennedy, Armstrong, and a few private High Fence places. We have been at 100% success rate this year so far on big Blue Bulls!
We offer these Blast and Cast hunts all throughout the year so if you cant make it on this one there are plenty more to come. That's the great thing about being in South Texas, the fishing is always good and there are a lot of exotics to hunt. We can make a Blast and Cast weekend out of any one of our exotic hunts down here, from Aoudad. axis, blackbuck, Asian Water Buffalo, etc. We are a full service Outfitter so pretty much whatever you want to hunt we can book it. Happy Hunting Guys!
Starting in April down there, you better have your snake boots on if your going to move around anywhere but in a boat!...:scared:
Yeah that is no doubt, I tend to find myself running into trees sometimes cause my eyes are planted on the ground hahaha! Everything is extremely dry right now so there is not a lot of under brush so the line of site is pretty good. But one thing for sure I will always have my snake boots on when chasing those Bulls through the brush!
Yep!! Been there, done that. They grow them BIG down there too......be careful where you "squat". You get bit down there, your buddies probably aren't sucking any poison out!!......:goodbye:
HAHAHA yeah I have a had a run in with a few big ones down here but thankfully never got bit...(me knocking on wood right now). Hunting 101 watch where you step. I almost got bit by a Black Mamba in South Africa a few years back. We were tracking my Eland that I wounded and I broke the cardinal rule of not following my tracker and parted ways for an easier route, if it wasn't for him pushing me out of the way at the last minute who knows what would have happened. I didn't care what people say about only tipping trackers a certain amount, but he got a big tip from me that trip for sure!
To many great hunts to do, but way to little time and money to do them... I would love to do a Nilgai, Axis and Blackbuck combo with my bow. Hopefully I will win big on Lotto today
I hear ya on that! I am just grateful that I get to do this for a living and experience all that hunting has to offer, from a beginner on their first hunt to the experienced taking down a great Trophy! Happy hunting guys!
