**New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) required for travel as of October 1, 2019**

US & Canadian tourists must request NZeTA prior to arriving in New Zealand for travel beginning October 1, 2019. The NZeTA can be requested starting in July on the mobile app or the New Zealand Immigration website. In addition you may also have to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).
The NZeTA cost is NZD$9 on the app or NZD$12 on the webiste. IVL costs are $35 per person additional, and charged along with the eTA.

See full details on the New Zealand Immigration website: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/about-us/what-we-do/our-strategies-and-projects/eta-new-requirements

Thanks for that they have not told us.

Thanks. Good information. I will also research.

At least it can be done electronically VS having to attend an embassy.

Just another travel tax..... :S Dollar:

I visited the NZ immigration website, but there is little additional info as this requirement not yet in effect or up and running. The cost is minimal at this point......$176 NZ for a family of four. What worries me is the logistic difficulties of applying, if any. Some countries beat you down with complicated (for me) uploads of fotos and passports and other things. Then often don't reply or have website failures. We'll have to wait and see. Along with rifle import changes, NZ is telling us something. Fortunately, I have already been there three times. I see no need to return...and they obviously feel the same......but thank you TE for posting...........FWB
