Good day to all.
Even though I read several forums this is the first time I’ve ever written something, so crossing fingers this post is in the correct place??

I am a avid hunter/shooter/reloader from sunny South Africa. I guided photographic safaris throughout South and East Africa for 10 years and conducted “Biltong” hunts for locals for a couple of years. For the last few years I have been in the poultry industry and work all over the world.
I have a great love for all firearms especially single shot rifles. My latest acquisition (a Ruger no 1 in 450-400NE) actually got me to sign up on the forum. I always appreciate learning from others and look forward to sharing the little I know.
Thanks for the acceptance.

Welcome to AH, Radi!

Hello and welcome!

Thanks 375 Ruger Fan.
I’m sure we will chat in the future. My brother just bought a Ruger Alaskan in 375 Ruger and as I am the designated “reloader” for the family I’m sure I’ll be asking some load advice soon.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to AH sir! I am a Ruger #1 fan. I have the Ruger #1 in 300Winmag, 375 H&H and 458 Lott. They are great hunting rifles.

Good day Sir.
I love my Ruger #1 They are quite scarce and expensive here in South Africa compared to other rifles. It took me years to get my hands on mine! I’m the proud owner of a 375H&H and a 45-70 Govt and am busy trying to convince my brother to sell me his two #1’s a 7mm Rem Mag and 450-400 3’
You are absolutely right they are GREAT hunting rifles!! The only problem I have is since I got the 375 H&H all my other rifles are gathering a bit of dust!

Welcome aboard the forum Radi! Looking forward to reading some of your hunting reports and seeing some of your hunting pictures from South Africa!

Perfect spot for your first post and Welcome to AH.

Share some of your pictures from running around Africa. I am sure that the members will enjoy seeing them.

Good day Brickburn.
At the moment I’m in Saudi Arabia on a work contract and am doing everything on my phone. I am that “one kid left behind” when it comes to technology. I will definitely give it a go to load some pictures. Hope it works

Sorry for the double pics! Got a bit confused there for a while. These were all taken on photographic safaris. I will try to get and load some of my hunting pics too.

Welcome to AH! That buff is the bull of my dreams!

A few cultural and wildlife adventures in those photos. Thanks for sharing them.
