Just for reference, if bullets from your favorite buffalo rifle are leaving the muzzle somewhere around 2400 fps and you sight in at 100 yards, your rifle will (by coincidence) be almost exactly zeroed at 50 yards. The recommendation to sight-in at 100 yards is therefore excellent advice.

Between 10 and 130 yards you will be no more than 1" high and no more than 1" low. Good enough for buffalo hunting, says I.

At all practical DG ranges, you simply put the crosshairs where you want the bullet to go and pull the trigger. A few rifles suitable for hunting buffalo might shoot below 2000 fps or above 2700 fps. The ballistics are bit different for those..... but not that much, reality.

Haven't checked all the posts but I would shoot it exactly midway between all four spots. That should miss or barely hit shoulder but will take out his heart.

That is VERY good info! Thank you for your time.

Damnation, I hate being colorblind. All ii can see is the white dot and that's not the shot I would take!!
Eastern Cape with Willem at Nduna hunting safaris. I’m really not sure what to expect as far as terrain and/or expectations of shot scenarios.
In the EC your shot may be at 15yds in the thick speckboom, Addo thorn or at 100yds from one hill to another so I would say the 1” high at 100yds is good.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
