I won this bottom metal in a Gbroker auction lot. It is extremely well done machined from steel, and is apparently for a .22LR of some sort, I am assuming bolt action. It also came with a trigger, which might be the best clue as to which rifle it was designed for. It is also possible the entire rifle was a custom made one-off. Does anyone have any ideas what this bottom metal may be for or recognise this style of trigger in a rimfire rifle ? It appears the trigger is pinned in place and actuates a separate sear assembly.

I do think you are on the right track with a Mauser conversion bottom metal. I will measure action screw spacing and compare it with my 98s.

Well it is not for a Mauser 98, and I doubt any Mauser. Here I held it up to a '98 with the rear action screw holes even. It is a similar shape, but much shorter and narrower.

Wow !! I have a Winchester 52 in the safe, of course this would require a custom stock, or at least custom inletting. It has been a while since I have had mine apart, but I don't recall mine having this type of trigger. Thanks WCFMetalsmith !!

At this rate I stole it. I won it and a CZ550 Safari Magnum floorplate for 99 cents on Gunbroker, neither seller nor I knew exactly what the parts were. I felt bad and actually sent the seller a few extra bucks instead of 99 cents.

You did really well out of that deal. The price I saw on the Blackburn was Us$425

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
