USA (CA, NH, MA, ME), ZA!
Been waiting a while to post this but my trophies are on the move from ZA.

I hunted in Limpopo back in April 2025 with Bosveld Jacobs.

I used Bullseye Taxidermy and had them do Euros for my Blue WIldebeest, Impala, Buffalo Cow, and Belsbok, and Warthog. They are also doing my Zebra as a rug and turned the back skin of the Buffalo into a gunbag and I hope to have enough to get some custom watchbands made.

I had Bradley and Wyatt at SSI process my shipment.

They are to Turkey and I am just waiting for the notification they have hit the US.

I will post my waybill and invoice later and of course pictures once they hit my door.

Bullseye did a great job on a handful of trophies for me back in 2022, I was very pleased with their work. It's an exciting time waiting for your trophies to return! Looking forward to some pictures of the finished work!

Wyatt informed me that my trophies have hit JFK and I am just waiting for the government to do its thing, so between today and forever right?

We like to talk numbers so I have posted my bill from SSI. One of the main reasons I went with them was the 1 price paid after hearing about extra storage fees.

My crate is 50kg with a volume charge for 87kg.

They are almost here!

Wyatt called me this evening and said that my trophies have finally been released, thanks to all our Senators for making we wait.

Hopefully here next week and really glad I went with SSI so I did not pay a month of storage fees.

Curious as to the eight days in storage. Did it take that long for F&W to clear them or is the government shutdown affecting that agency? That clearance usually only takes one or two days.

My trophies have been picked up but the final shipper and should be here by Wednesday!

The eight days in storage is just what I was paying upfront. That was the only price I needed to pay for storage. It really worked out for me with this shutdown that the 535 dolts in Congress are causing.
My trophies sat there for over a month. I have a copy of USFWS release and the crate got there on Feb 20th and was released by them on Feb 27th.

Either way here soon.

Excited for you! Can't wait for the update saying you got them.

I was wondering about the 8 day thing as well. So they basically just charged a flat rate of 8 days of storage no matter how long it took. That's an interesting way to do it. Also, $45 is obviously much cheaper than the hundreds per day the airlines try to swindle.

Well not so much Wednesday but I did get a call and scheduled delivery for Friday!

The 8 days are a flat fee and I guess it balances out if you are lucky enough for a 2 day release but since mine took over a month thanks to the shutdown it worked well for me.

And they finally got here today! Bullseye did a great job and I have already hung a few in my office/now a trophy room. Even bigger surprise my wife suggested hanging the wildebeest above the front door?!?

Super excited to finally have them home.

Excellent! I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of mine as well.

Boys I may be dying or buying a new car soon, the wife suggested we hang the wildebeest above the front door ON HER OWN?!?

Also the buff is hung in my office.

So 5 skulls was $3800 from RSA to your house in America?

Wow, that's pretty rough.

Congrats! It’s always a good day when you hear things are moving

Shipping trophies from other countries to the US is generally an economies of scale situation. Shipping 15 animals from RSA generally doesn't cost a crazy amount more than shipping 5 animals. But the per unit price feels a lot better.

It's a tough bullet to bite down on when you ship 15-20 animals from Africa and then go to another country and shoot 3 and it's around the same price your Africa shipment cost.

I sure wish I could better understand and get comfortable with bringing my own back in a suitcase when traveling. Because for the price I might as well just fly over and pick them up, shoot more, rinse and repeat.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?
