That was an awesome write up of a hunt from another time....even another world. Sad to see that the people who profess love and unity robbed your father, but that is their way. This same sad tale is being repeated in many South American countries where the Jaguar is illegal to hunt, but is killed wantonly by poachers and Chinese.....Thanks for reporting.............would love to hear of a Gaur hunt sometime.....Bill
Thank you for your encouraging words . I will write the article on Gaur tomorrow , then.

Please keep writing. Your experiences provide a window into a world fast disappearing into the mists of time and regrettable social change. How many other first hand witnesses still live who can speak to hunting the great game of India? Thank you.
Red Leg ,
Thank you for your support to me from the beginning. There are a few people still alive , including a gentleman who has shot 21 Royal Bengal tigers. He manages Rajdhani Rifle club in the other side of Bangladesh . His English is good and he has email . He is about three years my senior. We meet each other during the divisional skeet shooting competition once every three months. He is still hunting as well ; deer and fowl. I have been to his house for Eid last year . He is very kind and friendly to people of all countries who like hunting. I am sure he would enjoy this forum very much if he was aware of it , as he is very active on Bangladesh Shooting Federation's face book groups . I understand his sentiment . Hunting is something l hope to do for the rest of my ( hopefully long ) life . After the War , it helped me find peace again. I am sure you understand the sentiment better than anybody else.
Many members of Karim's family such as his daughter , his brother and his sister are alive and well .

Thank you, Mr Rahman, for such a powerful story! You’ve experienced amazing things.

Two of my Aboriginal friends killed a buffalo cow with an over-and-under 12 gauge shotgun. I’m unsure what size shot they used but the first shot was from two metres.

Dear Sir, mr Rahman,

Your narrative is excellent, to me giving a "Le spleen" of some past almost Victorian times with some of the typical British phrases.
I thank you for your time, to share such a wealthy experience with us.
Mark Hunter,
Thank you very much for your support. Also , l am also personally thankful to you for teaching me what American shot sizes l will ask for in December , if l want SG , SSG and AAA. I was most embarrassed.

Thoroughly enjoyed your telling of this account of your last Royale.

Would most greatly appreciate more stories of your hunts of a by gone era of india.

Once again a first hand account from a person who can give prophecy of what will happen to the wildlife, should we as hunters and conservationist, fail to prevent the vegans ( HSUS, USPCA, etc) who want to stop all hunting.
Ridge Runner ,
I pray that this day never comes . In Bangladesh , fortunately people are either find of hunting or they are indifferent to it. However , the situation in the United Kingdom looks quite grim . My niece visited there to do a Diploma for 9 months and when a student saw a photograph on her face book of her hunting mouse deer with me and her boyfriend in Bangladesh , the student formed a group to harass her. The student was a vegan. She is like my daughter , and it was very difficult for me to hear from her how she was treated there , while the teachers took no action .
I know that the citizens of the United States are very Un submissive. They will fight and protect what is theirs. My niece's boy friend , Daniel is an American and he explained to me that such is the Advantage of a written constitution. I even know that many European countries will also survive. But the United Kingdom has me a little concerned.
I mean no disrespect to any country , however.

Ben KK,
Thank you for your interest in my account . I am quite curious as to what choke was in the gun. My own shot-gun now is a 12 bore Beretta over -under . The upper barrel is fully choked and the lowe barrel is a modified choke. I know that SG being fired through the full choke barrel is not good for the gun. I have used SG cartridge from the gun in the modified choke barrel to kill a man eating leopard in Bangladesh Sundarban forests in 1995 , upon orders from the government.

Mr. Rahman, thank you for your recent posts. You have been a member here for a mere 11 days....and have contributed more quality posts than I have managed in over 2 years! Makes me feel guilty, I need to get on with some hunts...although I am sure they will pale in comparison to what you are relaying. I love your writing style, wonderful job! Thanks again for the stories!

Think not of this . Every person's life is it's own story book. And every Hunter's life is an interesting story book. I look forward to hearing your excellent experiences in this noble sport which we love so much .

Mr. Rahman, you have a gift as a teller of good stories. I enjoyed reading every word of your account of the tiger hunt as well as the story of the episode with the gaur. I hope you continue contributing to this forum, and I wish you the very best of luck should you ever decide to write a book about your adventures.

Greetings all! I've been a hunter for 50 years, but only now planning a trip to Africa. I was fortunate and successfully bid on a couple hunts for plains game in SA later this year and next. Also a rare Native Texas (5th generation) and USMC Vet. Hunt safe y'all!
