I took the smaller hunting Khukuri out last time but didn't get a chance to blood it although I believe it will be just as good in the field as the likes of the skinner, hunter skinner style of knfe.

All of them for a 4 knife set but for a 3 knife set the 7 inch chef, (0n the left) the two on the right are the 5 inch general purpose and the 3 3/4 in petty with my wife using almost exclusively the two on the right

These knives are made from cryo quenched nitroV stainless steel with black paper micarta handles. Other handle options available

From the left there is the 7 inch chef, the 5 1/2 inch chef, the 5 inch general purpose and then the 3 3/4in petty knife.

I bought a set of the @Von Gruff kitchen knives about 3 years ago for my wife. We had built a new house and I thought a new set of kitchen knives were in order. The knives are great and my wife loves them. They really hold a sharp edge too.

Garry;
Thinking this 4 knife set, plus a bearded chef (the thinner blade bearded knife you make), and a kitchen slicer. So 6 knife set. Can you lay out pics side by side to see what that might look like;)

Still thinking on handle material. Something attractive yet durable.

I'd like to figure that out and get a set into your book.
Bob

Let me get to that tomorrow Bob. I have enough knives between here and the local shop so will get a pic to post. I will hold you place in the book to the present page for you.

Here you are Bob.
The Bearded chef, the nakiri slicer, 7 in chef, 5 1/2 in chef, 5 inch general purpose and the petty with a steak knife (his) to show scale as you have one to use for reference. All cryo treated NitroV stainless except the bearded chef in 1095 carbon. My (and almost all) of the liquid nitrogen dewars for the minus 98C/ 320F have a 2 inch neck so cant get or treat the bearded chef and the 1095 is thinner at .094 than the NitroV at .125 so the bearded chef is lighter and more dexterous in hand with this steel.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian
