Mexican Jungle Turkeys?

My understanding is that getting your trophy back is the hardest part of the entire hunt.

I don't know a ton of people who have been though.
@Muskox - good point and that would be “one” of my concerns. 15 years ago my friends hunted ducks in Mexico and brought back many with no problems —- But when I hunted ducks in Mexico 8-9 years ago was unable to bring any back into the US. For me, it would be a complete waste to hunt Turkey in Mexico if you could NOT get the bird back into the US. I’m interested in the “Import Process” if anyone has some information on that? Or, if they had the taxidermy done IN Mexico and then had the taxidermy shipped into the US?

WTA bought one of the major outfitters in the Yucatan and has done a lot of updating to camps (some of the camps have A/C in the tents, better food, etc) and they have worked a lot on the export/import process. For the latest on that, I would call WTA. I'm hearing the birds are coming back on schedule and not getting stuck/lost.

Waterfowl from Mexico is NoProblem. Fulvous requires cites permit which you won’t get in time and black bellied may have the same problem soon. But the rest are easy.
They are required to clear a usda certified facility where they will be treated for unwanted diseases.
I have a friend going to do the turkey/jungle experience next month and will post how that process goes once we get through it.
