Made in USA

I try to support companies with "made in USA" products and those that support veterans and first responders. But...........I am tired of these flag waving companies that have everything outsourced. I have wanted a Filson jacket for years, but for myself, I am cheap at times. Mama called me out last night and said "you have been looking at that coat for years, please buy it and stop being so tacaño (stingy) with yourself." So, this morning, I happily called Filson to order the coat. The person on the other end appeared to be at a call center overseas and knew little to nothing about the coat, or the company. I hung up and now I don't want the damn thing. Another dream of mine crushed.

Vent over. I am headed to the Cantina where all the cute girls flirt with me and free pour the whisky. I am outsourcing my fun.

I just escaped from WA and watched how filson changed. Seems to me they have tried to expand quite a bit, focusing on hipsters and women, with little effort to maintain us more traditional buyers... That said a lot of the old school/ wool products are still made in Seattle. So far, they have always taken real good care of my USA made products too. As of a few years ago they would still patch up/ fix any Seattle made products there free.
