Sorry you lost your buddy.
Can't help with the breeding. Hope you find the dog you are looking for.

Tough deal, sorry to hear. They are family :(
I’m sure things will work out finding another member of the family- such things happen in their own time.

Sorry to hear this, it’s always tough to lose a friend.
There has to be a good stud somewhere in Georgia with all of the quail hunting plantations around.

Sorry to hear about your friend. When I was a kid, I read something in F&S. It said, "Dogs will die, and men will weep for them, as long as there are men and dogs." Our true friends really never leave us though.

Sorry for your loss. As someone who prefers dogs over people I feel your pain.

I’m so sorry to hear this. Few things bring the amount of joy a pet (family member) gives us!

So sorry for your loss, I know how much it hurts to let them go. Hope you are able to get a new pup from Dakota sometime soon.

Last Monday I thought I could be looking at the same grief. Drove my Fr Britt eight hours through the night and a blizzard for surgery in Minneapolis. They took a small tumor from right front leg almost at armpit. Looks to be sarcoma, same cancer as the softball sized lump removed next to her liver and pancreas ... three years ago. Should be getting biopsy results this week to confirm. "Puppy" is doing great ... for a dog who'll be fifteen in May. Still quite active. She had a helluva hunting season last fall.

I hope you find a breeder. Wish I could track down my dog's gene pool (she was spayed early on) but her breeder suddenly dropped off the grid three years ago. Damn shame.

Sorry to hear this, I will check around to see if anyone in our area has a good male to breed.

English Setters are super rare these days without wild birds only plantations keep birddogs .Princess gave me awesome days every day of her life .Dakota is awesone a 5 star dog just turned 5 needs to have puppies quick. My first two english setters lived in Alaska with me when there were tons of grouse .They protected me from bears grizzles woke me up in house fires kept snakes from bititing me stopped bad people and bad dogs from getting close they were fearless warriors not just dogs .Princess kept a black bear from coming through the front door once she was fearless too .They just dont live long enough .I wanted for her to live 20 years 12.5 went by way too fast .

So sorry to hear about your loss. Dogs are so special. I had a Golden Retriever growing up as a kid. She died my first week of college. I didn't get another dog until I met my wife. Hurts too much to loose her. She had two dogs and then we got a Golden Retriever together. Can't help with the breeding, but will be praying for you. The pain of loosing a dog especially one like that is very real. Most people don't understand.

So sorry for your loss. I had an almost completely white English setter I named Scout for “To Kill A Mocking Bird”. I sent her off for quail trading in Texas with a renowned Wheterford TX trainer. $6,000 later I went to pick her up and he told me “ that dog is too smart for her own good.”. She was the world champion for all of 10 minutes quail hunting then she would come up to me and wrap her leg around me to go home. lol. She died at 13 years old and I still miss her to this day!!!

My first two English Setters were solid white from Caliway gardens here in Ga .They were crazy smart Beauregard would get stuff out of the fridge he wanted to eat .He handed me gronla bars to unwrap so he didnt eat the wrapper .Buckshot would honk the horn in my truck when he was ready to go .They both jumped on me and my old gf till we woke up to a house fire that I put out .They were only 6 months in Alaska when we jumped at 9 foot grizzly on my land and barked till it ran off .They warned me of tons of bears in Ak and here in Ga .They are like people in fur coats .

My friend my farm where we did our big bore shoot this past weekend is only seven miles from callaway gardens!!! small world

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
