I’m looking to get a 416 REM Mag, preferably in a Ruger #1, however as that is a‘unicorn’ I am open for other options.

We found a nice LH M70 Classic (stainless/synthetic CRF) in 416 Rem. Talk about a unicorn!

I have a custom rifle built on a blueprinted r700 action. Douglas barrel, walnut accuracy innovations stock with bedding block, NECG sights, cerakote. If interested, shoot me a PM

416 RM.....Ruger nr 1.......not sure those two are compatible.....

Not sure why you want a Ruger #1 but if you can find a Winchester M70 in 416 RM, it has been the best hunting rifle ive ever owned.

I have a remington and a model 70 classic super grade . I think red pad. Ton of ammo.

Perhaps a 450/400 is in order.
Ahhh...the Craig Boddington special. It was the second caliber offering from a collaboration between Ruger, Lipsey's and Boddington.

Even if you are not a fan of Craig, it's an excellent caliber and rifle.

They also made a non Craig rifle in 450/400. Don't ask me how I know....;)

I’m going to guess that is a former rifle of yours, rather than a current rifle of yours…

Almost certainly...or you would have seen it on the auction block by now.

Yeah finding a bolt gun in 416 RM has not proven a problem. I’m just at a point where I’m wanting a #1, I think it will be a better spot/stalk weapon in our thick woods where everything grabs and sticks you. Also I did look at a 450/400 but I already have a 458 win mag in a #1 and with 3/4” of free bore I can load that pretty stout with 450 grain monos and still stay safe.
