This Deal at a Glance:
The Lowveld region of South Africa has earned the reputation of being the best in the world for hunting dangerous game.
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is situated in Mpumalanga's Lowveld and forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, with no fences separating them.
Animals freely roam between several reserves, making this area one of Africa's most pristine hunting destinations for dangerous game.
The sizeable open wildlife system that Timbavati Nature Reserve is part of spans 6 million acres and is home to a diverse range of antelope species, massive herds of buffalo and elephants, prides of lions, hippos, and rhinoceros.
The reserve is, first and foremost, a dedicated conservation area with limited, controlled, and sustainable hunting contributing significantly to the reserve's management budget and rhino protection.
The management team prioritizes the reserve's ecological integrity, which allows for limited, controlled, and sustainable hunting.
This is an expensive hunting opportunity because similar hunting permits are limited to a certain number each year.
Buffalo hunting is notoriously difficult due to their size, therefore the most important thing is to get good shot placement.
Close shots are less than ideal because they can rapidly deteriorate into hurried shots if the animal becomes aware of your presence and begins to fidget or bolt away from you.
This package is only available to hunt in February and March 2023.
Each trophy package is suitable for one hunter and includes a Buffalo (male), Wildebeest (male) and Zebra (male). Size limits apply to Buffalo trophies.
An African Hunts & Safaris representative will fetch you from the Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, for an 8-day and 7-night hunting safari, giving you 7 full hunting days.
The package costs $15 000, and one additional hunter can be accommodated at a total rate of $2275.
Additional observers (non-hunters) can join the safari at a total rate of $1750.
This package can be upgraded to include additional animals in the surrounding Hoedspruit area. Enquire about this when booking your hunt.
