You are making a great choice in the 25-06.
If you want a great load try
Working up to 54gn of H4350 behind a 109gn TTSX. This will give you around 3,400fps and be deadly in deer out to 400 yds
Sighted 2" high at 100 it will zero around 275 yds
This will enable him to hold in the kill zone from the muzzle out to around 325 yards and only need a backline hold on a deer out to 400.
Fast accurate dependable. What's not to like
