Trying to pick out forms, would love to see your pics. Please id the form if you can. Thanks!
Here we go!
Sorry, I don´t know anything about the forms used.
I shot an male eland 1 month ago, think I will go with a wall pedestal.
1/8 left turn kinda hard to see from the angle of the pic
Here is a few of ours. They are all forms done by relive in the east cape. Some of the forms have been really worked over to enlarge on the eland.
mine are pretty standard, had them done in africa and they used fiber glass forms, very heavy.
Ok, here are mine. I can find out the particulars for you if you see one you like.
Love your first eland mount Bill .
That is outstanding !!
McKenzie makes a nice eland and blue WB wall pedestal form http://www.mckenziesp.com/African-Wall-Pedestals-C1267.aspx. I have used both before. If you have a black WB, Jim Alfred has a nice pedestal that can easily be altered into a wall pedestal.http://www.jimallred.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=116
Also a newer taxidermy supply company called Headquarters has some new stuff out that looks nice. http://www.hqtaxidermy.com/catalog.html
This might not be what you want but the Blue Wildebeest I got back in 2012 went SCI Gold for a bow. I wanted the arrow that I shot it and a Silver Blesbok to be with it. I made this wall mount for it from wenge wood from Africa.
It might be an alternative to a shoulder mount.
Wow guys, those are beautiful mounts! Thank you! Cool idea Bh! Anyone heard of a droop form? I see them in McKenzie for both animals but can't find a pic of one mounted to see how it looks
Ya billy that first eland mount looks great.
