Leopard Taxidermy Pictures

Thanks J
I 'll post a few
All mounted trophies look good from a picture taken many feet away or from across the room.
It's hard to see what a piece looks like unless you get close and see the details.

Nathan do you know who did that mount of the picture you posted.

All nice mounts for sure.

Easy Billc that's a Phil Soucy mount.
The style, pose, and habitat are signature and he's a friend.
If it's not it's someone who worked for him.

thanks dennis that is what I thought. Would that be a fairly standard pose or that a from that takes alot of work to make. I like that pose alot.

I believe that is Ben Fahnholz's work from Life Like taxidermy, He is known as a cat man. He does a lot of cougar, bobcat, lynx and a fair amount of leopard.

Ben Fahnholz
Life Like Taxidermy
Carmen Idaho

He did a great job on this cat and is a great person to work with. Couldn't be more impressed.

i keep a folder on my laptop designated "mount ideas." anything I like, ill put in the folder for hopefully later use... here is a leopard I found. if and when I take a leopard, this is how ill have it done.

You are correct Jeff, it was done by Ben Fahnholz. Thanks

Hi Bill,
He cut the form several times and got it just right.
It amazes me how the good taxidermist can get a cat to look alive.
Takes a lot of work and a good eye!
Here are a few picture of the form cut, then moved and plastered over in grey.

Thanks nathan for the form pictures. I love seeing the work before finished also. The work done on my sons lioness was the same and really makes you think of all the hard work that goes in to a mount that you never see.

I to thought it was a phil soucy mount but nice to see someone is doing that kind of work.

i wouldnt turn any of them down.

Ideas for the future (y)

@txsouthpaw , that is a brilliant mount. The face is so typical.
