More than a century of experience in the development of long-range viewing instruments, microscopes and cameras has led to a new family of Leica premium binoculars: the Noctivid binoculars. They feature compact dimensions as well as stylish and elegant design and are at the same time incredibly robust and resilient.


The Perfect Balance
High contrast, brilliant and pin-sharp

The optical values of the Noctivid combine the highlights of the most proven and state-of-the-art technologies. Thanks to the Schott HT™ high transmission glass for the binocular prisms already utilized in the Ultravid HD-Plus optics, the Noctivid also features maximum transmission and astoundingly natural colours.

In the Noctivid binoculars, the excellent optical performance that Leica HD-Plus binoculars are known for, has been improved even more. The brilliant image is even sharper and richer in contrast. In addition to the Schott HT™ glass for the prisms, the anti-reflective coatings have been optimised. These coatings are applied on all lenses and prisms in the new high-temperature plasma process. Thanks to all these improvements, the whole visible spectrum of light is transmitted through the binoculars almost without loss. The colour rendition of the Noctivid binoculars is therefore extraordinarily close to the point of absolute colour neutrality (achromatic point).

The latest optical calculations in sophisticated combination with state-of-the-art baffles and premium glass materials ensure image plasticity almost like in 3-D. Thanks to superior contrasts and uncompromisingly large depth of field, fast focussing, wide eye relief and generous eyepieces, you will experience a new way of viewing.

Thanks to the modification of the radii at the lens surfaces, the sharpness towards the periphery of the field of view has been improved significantly. In combination with the proven minimisation of the globe effect applied in other Leica binoculars and the sophisticated positioning of the baffles, this ensures an unequalled image plasticity. With 19 mm eye relief and generous eyepieces the Noctivid also guarantees an extremely fast and comfortable viewing experience. With a close focus range of 1.90 metres and the extremely fast focussing at longer distances, you will never lose sight of your target. Thanks to the sophisticated combination of different technologies and innovative concepts, the Noctivid offers an impressively natural viewing experience, with the stunning image plasticity of the human eye – only much larger.


Rugged And Resilient
Suitable for any situation

These binoculars set new standards in their design. The slim binoculars can be held comfortably with one hand. Thanks to their short overall length, the weight is ideally balanced and rests mostly in the palm of the hand for fatigue-free viewing.

The non-slip rubber armouring guarantees a comfortable feel, perfect grip and secure handling as well as maximum resilience to impact. A highly durable patented special varnish provides additional protection for the metal surfaces of the magnesium housing. The weight of the binoculars is perfectly balanced so that they lie in direct extension to the wrist. This allows long and relaxed viewing. The easy grip of the binoculars’ tubes with one hand offers the user the unexpected freedom of holding an umbrella or a walking stick – you always have one hand free.

Thanks to their large exit pupil and maximum contrasts, the Leica Noctivid 8x42 models impress by their bright and brilliant image well into dusk. Like no other binoculars, the Noctivid combines extremely sharp images, stray-light suppression, light transmission and innovative design to ultimate perfection. Thanks to these features, these binoculars offer maximum contrasts, the highest image plasticity and intuitive handling, allowing unique observations. The Leica Noctivid models are now also available with olive green armouring.

Winged Eyecup Set
for Noctivid (including eye piece cover)

The winged eye cups are the perfect addition to your Leica Noctivid and Geovid HD-B and HD-R. It maximizes the pleasure of observation to the top. Made out of black rubber, the eye cups are robust and flexible at the same time. If you don’t need them, you do not have to take them off, you simply fold them down to the side. The Set for the Noctivid includes also a eye piece cover, that fits while the winged eye cups are on the binocular.


Leica Adventure Strap
for Full Size Binoculars

After being a huge success in the scope of delivery of Trinovid HD the Leica Adventure Strap is now also available as a separate accessory. The strap comes in two different sizes. Size M for Trinovid and Ultravid, Size L for Full Size Binoculars including Noctivid and Geovid.

The ingeniously designed “Sport” belt allows binoculars to be carried without swinging when walking or climbing and simultaneously offers fast access to the binoculars whenever and wherever they are needed. The binoculars are automatically drawn back into the right carrying position when not in use. The Neoprene material is soft, particularly comfortable on bare skin, and the belt can be adjusted to any suitable length.

All Leica binoculars are waterproof to a depth of 16.5 ft/5m. The extra wide fit of the strap protects the neck and shoulders when carrying heavier equipment.

A stable platform for binoculars is helpful when viewing objects at greater distance or focusing on a particular scene. The Leica Tripod Adapter enables simple and secure attachment of the binoculars on all standard tripods and monopods.
