Close Proximity, Wide Field Of View
The world through Leica eyes

With a zoom factor of up to 6.7 and a large field of view, Leica Magnus i riflescopes allow maximum flexibility, easy handling and safety, and help you keep a critical overview in every hunting situation.

What makes Leica riflescopes so special is their superior field of view. When combined with effective stray-light suppression, excellent transmission and maximum contrast for bright images, this guarantees safe target identification in every situation, even when conditions are difficult.

Leica-Magnus-i-Emotional-3-Landscape_teaser-960x640.png

Enjoy freedom from distracting keyhole effects when it really counts. The extremely wide field of view provides a subjectively higher image brightness than smaller fields of view, and the Magnus i’s greater field of view gives you a safer hunting experience. The greater magnification range ensures an enormous application spectrum and makes the Magnus i the best riflescope for every kind of hunting. The Magnus 1.5 – 10x42 i, for example, is the perfect companion for driven hunts, stalking, and hunting from a high seat, as well for mountain hunts.

At the same time, high technical demands had to be satisfied to produce the Magnus i series, so that uncompromising quality and 100% reliability are guaranteed – giving you both maximum flexibility and precision for close as well as long-range shots.

Bright Reticle Illumination
Convincing in all light conditions

Every model in the Magnus i range features bright day/night reticle illumination. Thanks to a sensitive brightness control, you can always find the perfect level, letting you maintain focus on your target without being distracted by excess illumination.

Functionality and ease of handling are among the most important aspects of product development. This is where Leica combines years of experience with technological innovation, with the result that the Leica Magnus i riflescope series allows safe hunting even in unfavourable light conditions.

This is ensured by the exceptionally precise adjustment mechanism that regulates the illuminated dot. The sensitive brightness control features a day/night setting and is adjustable in 60 micro steps. With the press and hold function, you can run through the whole range and store your last brightness setting. On top of that, the reticle’s intelligent auto on/off function prolongs battery life considerably, by switching off the illumination when not required, for instance when in an unsuitable shooting position.

Leica-Magnus-i-Emotional-4-Landscape_teaser-960x640.png

The challenge of developing the perfect illuminated dot lies in finding the balance between “as small as possible” and “sensibly large”. Leica has found the solution with a very small illuminated dot that is so fine that it covers the target only minimally, but is at the same clearly visible because of its crispness. For the reticles, Leica relies on a technology known as “phase gratings”, where nano structures are etched into the glass, shaping the light with high efficiency. That’s how you keep the critical overview and always identify every important detail – for a successful hunt.

Top Transmission And Optical Performance
Even in the most difficult lighting situations

Creating a brilliant image every time - the most important features of all Magnus i riflescopes are their excellent light transmission and extraordinarily high contrast.

top-transmission-and-optical-performance-new-landscape_teaser-960x640.png

Optical Perfection
Better vision means safer targeting

Thanks to multilayer plasma lens coatings, Leica achieves natural colour fidelity and outstanding light transmission. During construction, the lenses are covered with plasma layers that are only a few nanometres thick and are evaporated in a vacuum using a high-temperature plasma process. All lenses are made exclusively of glass produced by highly respected manufacturers – for minimal absorption.

Every riflescope offers particularly low vignetting – for maximum light-gathering power, especially at low magnification.

Extreme-Lenses-Transparent_teaser-960x640.png

Leica possesses extraordinary expertise when it comes to stray-light suppression. For the simulation of stray-light and reflection, Leica uses its own software. The optimisation of lens distances, diametres and radii, along with the precise placing of light traps and baffles, have always been important elements in the development and manufacturing of Leica riflescopes and binoculars – for crisp and clear images.

Maximum contrast means: black is black and not dark grey; white is white and not light grey. High-resoution optics can only realise their true potential with maximum contrast. Using a combination of stray-light suppression, a choice of superior glass types and bold and extreme lens shapes, Leica creates fantastic contrast, giving you precise and detailed images, even in poor light.

What's new
The Magnus models of the second generation impress by their proven quality Leica stands for – uncompromising high-performance optics, robust mechanics and intuitive handling.

Unlike the previous models, every model of the Magnus i range features new, smarter detail solutions such as turret scale zeroing without tools for convenient sighting-in and optimised reticle coverage. Leica’s engineers not only cut energy consumption, thus significantly extending battery life, they also made it easier to replace the battery. The familiar, conveniently selectable day/night illumination now offers additional protection against accidental resetting.

LEICA-MAGNUS-RETICLES-RETICLE-L-3D_teaser-960x640.png

With a crosshair thickness of 0.2 in/0.5 cm and distance between vertical guidelines of 1.9 in/5 cm, these are the reticles for precise shots at longer distances. Line/dot markings enable sighting on the target with the necessary ballistic trajectory correction without the need to change the reticle setting – as long as the distance to the target and the ballistic characteristics of the ammunition used
are known.

Reticle L-CD i

LEICA-MAGNUS-RETICLES-CDI_teaser-960x640.png

CD i is the shortcut for "Circle Dot illuminated". The name describes the main feature of the new driven hunt reticle. Besides the illuminated dot, like on all Magnus reticles, a concentric ring around the centre of the reticle is illuminated as well. This feature will help to aim and shoot precisely on fast moving targets especially under very bright light conditions.

BDC – Bullet drop compensation
The BDC ets you adjust the reticle to various shooting distances. Using the calibrations, the reticle can be set so that the exact impact point is guaranteed on the target. The BDC is easy to use and functions with absolute precision in all weather conditions.

Riflescopes from the Magnus series can be ordered with an optional BDC bullet drop compensation system, and a new ballistics programme for BDC is available for download, guaranteeing precise shooting every time.

LEICA-MAGNUS-RETICLES-ASV_teaser-960x640.png

Direct Dial
With a “direct dial ring”, Leica’s BDC works even more quickly and intuitively. Simply replace the standard engraved ring with a ring featuring range information, and start selecting the precise shooting distance. With 12 different rings to choose from, you can pick the best-fit one for your caliber and load.

Direct-Dial-DE_teaser-960x640.png

Ballistics programme for Leica rapid reticle adjustment (BDC)
The Leica ballistics programme performs calculations for the Geovid HD-B (including download of data), the ballistic reticles of the Leica riflescopes as well as the rapid reticle adjustment (BDC) of the Leica riflescopes.

This allows the calculation of the target range for almost any kind of ammunition, taking into account many parameters relevant for hunting, such as sighting-in distance, the height of the sight line, temperature and height. For Leica riflescopes with ballistic reticle or rapid reticle adjustment (BDC) you can calculate and print tables for distance as well as click value. In addition, you can calculate individual ammunition loads for the programming of the Geovid HD-B and download the data on a microSD-card.
