I would allow them. Scams are frequent, and people are justifiably suspicious. I always recommend welcoming new members, yet when someone is a member for 2 days, posts a $10K item for sale, and includes phrases like "20 research included" they will likely be teased a bit. Welcome, Barton.....I don't have any bills due, and don't own any similar rifles, but I wish you well with the sale. FWB

Unfortunately too many hit and runs with scammers these days.
I was recently scammed out of some money not much for 7mm bullets not from AH.

So welcome @Barton Stone tell us about your hunt where and when it looks like it was quite a few years ago.

Although I certainly understand the heightened awareness of scammers, I do not agree with the "public stoning" aspect of the verification. I believe such doubts should be resolved via PM or the moderator.

At any rate, a fair price given the current market and make/model/condition. I hope someone takes the opportunity to enjoy a fine rifle.

It looks legit and the Classic is a wonderful gun. Is it a US gun or imported - the paperwork suggests it could be from a importer vs K US.

The salients points for me are that is 500NE vs 470NE or better 416/500. No ejectors. About the plainest wood I've seen on any K Classic, including base models

Welcome to the forum. I understand peoples concerns, but I hope your rifle reaches a legitimate buyer.

We have been on the other end, where we sell a legitimate hunt, but where payment was never received. The client was able to produce a legitimate "sent" wire transfer, but funds went elsewhere (Nigeria by way of South Carolina). We did not consider it the clients fault so we honored the transfer as if it had been received by our company.

I hope buyer and seller are able to do a favorable post on this transaction.

Beautiful double. Using an escrow company will take the guess work out of the transaction. Being new and selling a double in the first few days is tough but not unheard of. I have referred new people here to sell before. Good luck. Looks like a good price- I'm no double rifle expert but good luck.

Agreed. No need for burning at the stake. If this was a 450/400, and I was interested, I'd work out all the details via PM, and a phone call. If someone is willing to give you their number and have a conversation with you, you can usually tell if they are legit or not.
This is a very nice rifle at a very fair price. Welcome aboard!

I wish I had the extra cash. I just purchased the same rifle a few months ago in 470 NE. I would LOVE to have a 500 to match it. I drove to louisiana no too long ago to pick up a rifle and I would be in the truck tomorrow if my slush fund was not depleted.
I love mine. It has been very cooperative as far as finding several loads that shoot well in it with several different bullets. GLWS and don't post any stories about shooting it after you've had a few beers trust me!
