Joining this forum from Germany- nice to meet you!

Welcome to AH, cost of admission is a hunt report from your first safari. You took some nice animals.

Dear members and Africa fanatics,

since I’m reading on this website for quite a long time day by day I thought it’s time to register now and introduce myself!
All native englisch speakers: please excuse all my mistakes .
Some words about myself:
I’m mid 40 and grown up with hunting. I’m responsible for my own hunting concession in Germany where I focus on hunting wild boar, roe deer and small predators like raccoon, fox and badger.
I‘ve been to Africa last year for the first time. I hunted 10 days in Zimbabwe (Matetsi) and since that time I‘m really infected with the African virus…
My focus on this trip was on Cape buffalo (which I shot), an beside this I was able to hunt successfully on some PG.
I‘m going back to Matetsi with my 2 „big sons“ (9 and 12 years old) this October and I even started counting the days yet .
I really enjoy on this forum the respectful way all members discuss and the huge amounnt of knowledge and experience that is available- and I hope the language barrier doesn’t stand between us when I try to give some comments and input…
I’m really looking forward to fruitful discussions and conversations!
Greetings from Germany,
Agrarler

I’d do so, if there would not be the language barrier…I always feel ashamed about my bad grammar and missing vocabularies …

Go for it, no one pays attention to the vocabulary when they are reading a hunting story anyway.

Welcome to AH! Nice to have you as part of our community, really looking forward to your input.

Welcome to AH, loads of info and discussions to enjoy.

Welcome aboard Agrarler. Please do not refrain from posting because of your concerns over possible grammatical issues. Back many years ago I visited one of our plants in Germany. One of the Department Managers told me that he "supposed" I thought less of him because of his limited English-speaking skills. My reply to him was not really, but I expected him to speak good German. After which we both had a good laugh. AH members from all over the world post on this site and many speak English as a second language. I have yet to see anyone's writing skills critiqued. We all enjoy good hunting reports / stories and photos. As of now you are halfway there. I suspect you are more critical of yourself than any other AH member would be. Schreiben Sie bitte.

Welcome! Great to have you!

Welcome! As others have stated, don’t worry about your English - it is much better than my German. I love your country, Ive visited several times adding up to maybe 3 months total. The food, beer and guns were wonderful and the people very nice.
If you have any pics of your hunts I’m sure everyone would enjoying seeing them.

Thank you all for warm welcome.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
