Do they bite you mike? If so, mosquitos must have a a hankering for GIN

Must say I did get woken up few nights ago when I was back in lusaka by the madam ...I asked her why the antics...she said I am try to slap a mosquito....I said I haven't heard anything.....should have kept my mouth shut :A Outta:

My wife is a mosquito, tsetse fly and bug magnet. Said she is done with Africa but I think I have talked her back into a third trip to Tanzania in 2028. :A Hi Five::A Sting:

Good luck ....Tanzania...mmm me thinks you are risking life and limb..... I hope you survive to the end of the hunt.....and just think of all that time cooped up on the plane.....while she has time to contemplate all the itchy bumps adorning her person.... :E Rofl:

Fellow Hunter-Gatherers,

My Ex -Wife once said, “You Stink You Creep !”

I find myself in agreement with her because, insects (and fat chicks) definitely avoid me.:ROFLMAO:

Fast forward about 40 years to now —> My good wife, is truly loved by mosquitos, biting gnats plus other tiny beasties —> to include but not limited to, sand fleas, black flies, white sox, red bugs/chiggers, no-seeums and several others.

Also, one Mexican scorpion took a shine to the alluring flavor of her left forearm, during the wee hours, at Bahia de la Ascension (Ascension Bay, Mexico).
It was while we were sleeping off a day of fly fishing on the coral flats there.
Then afterward, enjoying scratch mojitos and oinking down some grilled foods, eventually nodding off in our little rented Palapa on the beach there, near Punta Allen.
We weren’t married yet and with that painful sting, she passed “the scorpion test”, thereby enabling her to move up to the next level in our courtship.:p
Why she remains with an ugly buzzard like me for 33 or 34 years already, remains a mystery.

With that, as grievous as their extra-irritating bites and stings are, I cannot blame the little exoskeleton creeps for zeroing in on my woman.
Indeed I would bite her myself, if only I could catch her these days.:ROFLMAO:

Seriously though in my observations, there seems to be truth in the notion that biting insects are drawn to estrogen and repelled by testosterone.
Also worth mentioning is that, people who eat a huge amount of RAW garlic, onion, cabbage, shallots, leeks and such, seem to suffer fewer insect bites than people who do not eat such high sulfur content foods.
(Organic sulfur is what gives people strong breath when they eat raw garlic and raw onion + a few (very few) other miscellaneous raw vegetables).

It appears that the above is just about all the news that’s fit to print around here.
And so, I will shut my flapping fly trap now.

Cheers,
Velo Dog.

Dad always told me that Garlic would keep ticks away. I always joked that he had them confused with vampires, but it did seem to work.
I never knew about onions but the old man used to eat cheeseburger every day for lunch with a thick slice of raw onion, and I ate them about half as often, we seldom had insect trouble.

Yes, probably risking my life… I do know that she didn’t get ate up when we were with you and Louise in Nashville…. so maybe tequila and gin are natural bug repellents… or maybe it was the time of the year… might be worth an experiment?? :D Beers: :A Stirring:

Hahaha and yes I was told by Mike Fell in Tanzania that about 50% of the women who are bitten by tsetse flies have worse reactions to the nearly indestructible little bastards than other women and men…so it might have something to do with estrogen.

If you know what a "No See Um" is, you might sympathize with me. Some folks get an itchy bump, some folks (like me, bless their hearts) get large, pustules that make you want to take a cheese grater to your skin. I had to sleep with towels soaked in cold water wrapped around my legs for 3 weeks after chasing Spanish Mackerel in Florida. Maybe I need to go get my estrogen checked. I've been told that I was pretty before....

Yeah....then she can give you shit for her hangover instead :A Thumbs Up:.....and after you left louise vertical hold went a bit wonky when she got off her bar stool when we were leaving.....some women at the bar then basically accused me of drugging her ...had to try and keep my temper under control in the following "discussion " where I told them she was my wife.....the girl we knew serving behind the bar had to back
me up......

Oh damn, sorry we weren’t there longer to assist! Next time we will make up for it.

This is only part of the truth. In reality it is your blood type they they are seeking. I am A- and my wife B+ and my son is O-. They get hammered but I don't. I don't know The complete list of types but this is a sampling from experience.

I'm o neg.
If I'm within eyesight or earshot you will be safe.

The only ones that love me as much as the biters and bloodsuckers are the blood banks. Apparently O neg is rare and can be given to anyone.

Id donate more often if they didn't train the nurses on oranges and potatoes.
Can't find a vein to save their life!
