Any of yall fortunate to have met this young gent will know he had an immeasurable love for the bush and hunting. Sadly his life was cut way too short by a tragic accident, unrelated to hunting as I understand.

He was just about to receive his PH license this year. Scott was so incredibly proud of his Westley Richards 425 that his god father shared with him, and had spent months waiting for permit and assembling dies, brass, and bullets so he was set for his initial PH seasons. Something we talked about each night around camp….heck he went on about it even last camp, but this time was special as he had it in hand to share.

A man or total enthusiasm, endless smiles, and always looking for a task to jump upon. He was a joy to have around. Always pointing out interesting facts and posing thought invoking questions. Quirky as so many of us are, and in the best of ways. He was a genuine kind hearted man who will continue to be missed.

Please keep him, his family, and those close in your thoughts.

Sad news to hear, RIP, prayers for his family

I saw this info come out from Dalton & York today. So sorry to hear it; a spark of life that was far too short.

Yes. I couldn’t find the words yesterday and honestly didn’t want to post anything until Dalton & York made announcement. So after they put it on IG and Vaughn shared, I figured those few here who may not have social media would want to know.

There are a number of folks here who have hunted Omay North, and Scott was a fixture there, which was better for it.

Scott was a true gentleman and camp manager on my first Safari July 2024 and he was one of the reasons I booked the Omay again for 2027.

I remember making him his first Old Fashioned, he watched closely and learned quick; he definitely made our camp a wonderful place.

He was working on his required hunts for his license by also accompanying Dalton and Dan on their quest for a bull elephant, they got it on day 9 close enough to camps we heard the shots.

This is such sad news! Scott tagged along with me and Johnny 9 of my 10 hunting days last September. Here’s a picture of Scott organizing the skinning of my land based hippo. RIP young man!

e was their Appy meaning PH apprentice. I had the privilege of hunting and sharing a camp fire with! A wonderful young man taken before his time…he will be missed

When my wife of 30 years died suddenly I was asked why do bad things happen to good people. My pastor told me something I have never forgotten.., God is the only one who knows all things before and after we are born, only he knows our future and in his kindness does not want his beloved child to suffer what only he knows their future so in his love for that person He takes them…yes while we grieve on this earth they are dancing in heaven

Well said.

My sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. RIP Scott.
