If money were no object, where would you hunt and why

So dream me up your dream trip. Money is always and forever an issue so I understand the premise can be seen as dumb and I appreciate your grace in allowing us to dream. In this scenario, it will all be paid for.

Where would you go hunt (please be very specific -- concession, exact camp, etc) and who would guide you.

Further, please allow yourself to go to different places for different animals. Lions here, buffalo there, LDE here, jumbo there. Each with their own area specified and PH/outfitter specified.

If money were no object I would hunt water buffalo, bantang and wild scrub bulls in Australia's northern territory.
Had the chance to hunt scrub bull at mates rates but the land owner sold the property to an overseas company and they closed his Safari business down. The price he offered me was about a third or less of the going rate because his family are friends.
The price to hunt these animals otherwise is way out of reach even as an Australian.
It was cheaper for my whole family to fly to Namibia and hunt, 10 day hunt, sight seeing, flights, trophy fees and taxidermy. Total 21 days from leaving home to getting back home.

To do a 10 day 3 animal hunt int the Territory for one hunter including airfares, hunt and trophy fees was more expensive than my Africa hunt.
To me it was a no brainer to hunt Africa with my wife and son compared to hunting at home.
Even at mates rates the trophy fees on 13 animals including kudu was cheaper that the territory hunt.
A bison hunt in the USA with my Whelen would be nice but then again the price. Fortunately dreams cost nothing. Putting them into reality is a different story.

While hunting ibex in Spain, I met a Mongolian outfitter and guide. I really enjoyed spending time with him. If money were no object, I'd book argali and ibex with him. As another member suggested, Id also take all family members, especially the grand kids, to Africa. What a joy it would be to see Africa for the first time, through their eyes.

Hunting Namibia was one of the best hunting experiences I have ever had. Top that off with doing it with my then 14 year old son and seeing him hunt was just adding another dimension to the experience. What hit him get his first African animal, a Springbok on father's Day is the best gift a son could give his father, sharing that with him. He is now 21 and an accomplished hunter in his own right.
You will get great pleasure out of seeing it thru your children's, grandchildren's eyes and passing on your experiences to them. It's a bond with them that can never be broken.

You must not be 50 yet?
Many of this year’s Stone Sheep Hunters will be north of 50. I’d say the average sheep hunter and 98% of avid Sheep Hunters are north of 50. Many have had knees or hips replaced or are well on their way. Sheep Hunting (all mountain hunting) is mental. One foot in front of the other and not giving up. Not being a fat ass helps too, but there are some very large die hard sheep hunters.

Woodcock migrate?
Yes, you’ll get about a 2-3 week window of good hunting in each area during a specific window/weather pattern each fall with some days better than others as birds have pushed on and you’re waiting for the next flight.

When I lived in New England I knew a few retired guys in my gun club who’d spend a month sometimes more following them from Maine down with their dogs. They’d always get into some great grouse hunting in Maine too

First I'd call Jumbo Moore and book that elephant & buffalo hunt to Botswana that I balked at because of the price. Then I'd book a hunt in the Yukon with Jim Shockey for bear and moose just because I've always wanted to. I'd like to try for bongo or sitatunga and would like Ryan Cliffe to be my PH. A hunt in Ethiopia for mountain Nyala would be great.

If you have to ask, you have never hunted them.
Correct. I have actually never even seen one. Sounds like they conflict with my duck hunting. Hell, I don't know anyone in Texas that hunts them.

They winter in Sam Houston Natl Forest. I was invited down to hunt them by a couple guys from FTW that I’ve quail hunted with but it’s too snakey for this midwestern boy.

3 Month traditional Safari in Tanzania or Uganda with porters in the style of "Royal Safaris" of the past.

Wheels up in 154 days…Nepal, blue sheep. (Bharal), Himilayan Mountains. Neal and Brownlee is my outfitter. The training continues…

Don’t wait - just go! Good luck and happy hunting to all, TheGrayRider a/k/a Tom.

I would buy a Time Machine then go back to hunt quail with father on family and friends farms in Texas. The dogs managed to point a few coveys several days a week after school. The quail are gone, my dad’s gone, My Steven single shot 20 gauge vanished but still have his 870 pump he paid something like $87.50 for. The memories are priceless

Turkeys from March-June. Every state. Every year.
Ducks from north to south, east to west
Mule deer and elk everywhere I could every year
I would drive the largest RV there is to hunt it all on the fly.
I would also travel to Africa yearly for about a month. Hunt ibex wherever they are located. Hunt many goats, don’t have preference except I would go Marco Polo hunting for sure.
I would hunt and travel. Money no object….i would need infinite money for the shipping and mounts thou. lol. They would cost more than the hunt half the time.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
