If money were no object, where would you hunt and why

I’d follow the waterfowl migration in N. America, then hunt pigs in Florida/S. Georgia swamps until it was time to chase buffalo and elephant. I like the idea of Botswana for elephants, but money is an object, so I haven’t narrowed down where it would actually be. If we’re really talking about it being NO issue, it would be with whoever would facilitate a primarily foot safari.

Ive thought of this a few times.

I'd take a train across canada to the east coast.
Hop on a cruiseliner or likewise and hit SA.
travel northward by mainly land cruiser/rover

finally hunt for a forest elephant, bongo, and then LDE in the savannah once out of the jungle.

(1) NA - Somewhere I can find and kill a 380+ Elk that's not high fenced. Alaska for Sheep and Mountain Goat
(2) Europe - Switzerland or Slovenia Alpine Ibex
(3) Africa - Tanzania & Uganda.
(4) Asia - Mongolia full bag; Nepal Tahr

Mongolia for the three argali sheep.

If I could get China to reopen, hunt several argali sheep species there.

Tajikistan and Pakistan for all the markhor species.

Hunt dark mane lion in Kasonso Busanga in Zambia bordering Kafue NP with Fico Vidale or with Clint Walker in Deka in Zimbabwe or with Dave Langerman in the Niassa Reserve in Mozambique or Botswana lion with someone. Oh hell, just do all four!

Giant leopard and elephant in Maswa North GR with Mike Fell in Tanzania.

Elephant in Nye Nye Conservancy in Namibia in September.

Kamchatka moose. Might do this one someday when Ukraine War is over.

Marco Polo on Chinese border in Tajikistan every year.

Blue sheep in Nepal.

Elk every year on the San Carlos Reservation in AZ.

Dart hunt a jaguar in Central America.

Man how telling is it that so many want to take young folks are jump-start conservation?! Awesome brotherhood here.

I would spend a month (or more, as long as it would take) in the Caprivi and hunt all the species available there. DG and PG both but my focus would be on the exotic/unusual: roan, sable, tsessebe, sitatunga, lechwe, etc.

I already have the plan for when I get to slow down. I’m headed to Germany, buying a G Wagon and driving and hunting all of Europe, seeing opera, and splitting time between the country and city. One month or so in Tanzania for buff, leopard and whatever, and time in other African nations. In America, I want to hit the open road and hunt from Alaska to the Eastern seaboard.

Grizzly in the Brooks range Alaska. If BC would open Grizzly hunting again, coastal Grizzly hunt there

Well this is an interesting thread:A Bulb:

First there is the time machine problem...
North America 15 thousand years ago for saber tooth tigers!

Back to reality
Full bag hunts in Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Uganda, Mozambique.

Also hunt every province in South Africa.

Generally speaking, I would pick any of the Sealous Reserves in Tanzania. The Southern Sealous Reserves, in particular. This is absolutely as wild as it gets in modern Africa. I also like Ugalla Game Reserve.

My life’s best Cape buffalo bull, hippopotamus, wild lion & leopard (as of this time of writing) have all been hunted in Tanzania. I’d really like to take a huge bull tusker elephant there too, someday soon (the two elephants to my credit as of this time of writing, have been taken in Botswana & Zimbabwe).

The white hunter to guide me ? If money were no object, I’d pick my dear friend Mark Sullivan. I know that name attracts a lot of controversy on these forums and I don’t really want to get into an argument with anybody about him anymore. But Mark would be my choice.

I would buy a nice double in 470NE and go wherever the biggest elephants are. I would add a leopard to the trip as well.

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
