So dream me up your dream trip. Money is always and forever an issue so I understand the premise can be seen as dumb and I appreciate your grace in allowing us to dream. In this scenario, it will all be paid for.

Where would you go hunt (please be very specific -- concession, exact camp, etc) and who would guide you.

Further, please allow yourself to go to different places for different animals. Lions here, buffalo there, LDE here, jumbo there. Each with their own area specified and PH/outfitter specified.

I’d go to Nunavut to get my polar bear, I’d go to the Canadian artic archipelago with indigenous and let my wife get a narwhal, head to the kalahari for a lion, go to Botswana for a elephant, Mozambique for buffalo back to Botswana for leopard with hounds and I’d finish it off with..(since this is all make believe) I’d find someone in Thailand or India or russia(most likely) that would take me tiger hunting(I know they are illegal.. it’s my dream and I don’t care) I’d be happy with that list until someone brings back dinosaurs with gene editing

If money and TIME were no issue:

I’d start in Botswana with Tholo safaris and hunt elephant in NG8 or 9, and a leopard over hounds. Then I’d go to Zambia for a lion, buffalo, sitatunga and a baited leopard.

Then I’d end up in Tanzania for a month or two. Big bull elephant, 3 buffalo, lesser kudu, and any and everything else.

Depending on timing, I might start the trip with Altai Argali in Mongolia, then on to Pakistan for a markhor. After the Tanzania trip then I’d head to Tajikistan for a 60” Marco Polo.

I'd do a 6 month round the world tour of hunting..

start in Alaska in the early fall.. chase caribou, moose, and brown bear... move over to Canada and try to pick up one of their monster whitetail, maybe a muskox, and a black bear.. then hit Europe... Spain for ibex.. Scotland for red deer.. do a traditional driven boar hunt in Germany.. and then chase ibex in Turkey..

drop south into Africa.. hit 3-4 countries for their indigenous species.. stay in the Southern Hemisphere into our spring, their fall.. and cross over to Australia for a buffalo.. over to New Zealand for a tahr/chamois combo.. then over to Argentina for birds, Peru for ducks... and then back home maybe in April....

It wouldnt be about any particular species or any specific country.. it would be about seeing the world through a hunters lens over a protracted period of time..

That's a tough question, haven't really gone down that rabbit hole for quite some time. I wouldn't have specifics, but pretty sure it would be a long trip (many months) to Africa moving between Tanzania/Botswana/Angola, and I would hunt everything that was available or until I ran out of ammo.

The first thought to come to mind would be to take every bushbuck species in year. I’d hunt harnessed bushbuck in Cameroon, Nile bushbuck in Uganda, menelik’s bushbuck in Ethiopia, chobe bushbuck in Zambia, East African bushbuck in Tanzania, Limpopo bushbuck on Zimbabwe side of River, and cape bushbuck in eastern cape. I’d then take all the incidental game I could that occurred in each area such as lord derby eland, buffalo, mt Nyala, croc, etc just because I was there.

If money was seriously no object though, I’d get a lot of satisfaction from buying concessions and opening new areas for hunting and seeing them properly managed. I think the hunting would get tiring after a while, especially when it’s not something you have to save and plan for anymore. It would almost be a curse not to appreciate the opportunity like you previously did.

Bit boring...but a rerun of my first time in an african country and first ever hunt ...which it literally was....30 days in the selous oct/Nov 1989....everything was on licence..some multiples of each animal....just knowing what I know now though, so could appreciate everything even more

I would love to hunt and fish Patagonia. It has always intrigued me.

the owner of this lodge, Ariel, is from Patagonia.. they dont advertise it (its not their primary business), but I believe Ariel takes people to Patagonia a couple of times a year to fish (fishing is his biggest obsession..)... and.. its really not all that expensive.. or that rough of a trip..

Ariel is a great guy.. super humble.. super friendly.. super accomidating..

If/when I manage to hit Patagonia (its on the short list for the next Argentina trip we do).. I'll be calling Ariel..

I would take the people closet to me on their first trip and foot the bill so I can share that experience over and over.

I'd especially take young adults, kindle a fire for them and hope that the following generations can appreciate true conservation.

I'd buy my own property in several places like Africa, Australia & Argentina and hunt and travel by private jet at my leisure.

Honestly, If I won the power ball I'd do just that and start a scholarship/award non profit centered around young people getting to travel and hunt as they otherwise would never be able to.

Two places -

1. Mongolia for the 3 species of argali's and the ibex.

2. Polar bear in Canada

3. Lord Derby Eland in Cameroon with Thierry Labat (again). Best hunt ever, did it twice.

Botswana for the biggest elephant I could find given it is my favorite animal to hunt in the greatest country to hunt them

While hunting ibex in Spain, I met a Mongolian outfitter and guide. I really enjoyed spending time with him. If money were no object, I'd book argali and ibex with him. As another member suggested, Id also take all family members, especially the grand kids, to Africa. What a joy it would be to see Africa for the first time, through their eyes.
