Hello Everyone.

I am in the planning process of my first african hunt in celebration of a milestone birthday a few years down the road.

After doing some searches on here along with other homework I did before finding this community, I have it narrowed down to two outfitters with one being the favourite by a slight margin.

If things go as I truly hope, we will have several non-hunters in our group. I would appreciate feedback from those of you who have hunted with Kowas Adventure Safaris in the past regarding the following.

1. How did any non-hunters with you enjoy their experience?
2. Are there any "can't miss" recommendations for non-hunters in regards to the additional excursions offered we should be sure to include on our trip?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

If you write in the subject line which outfitter you want to know about I am sure you will get more responses. I only bothered reading it because I am in bed with the flu, and got nothing else to do.

Kowas is great. If non-hunters will enjoy it depends on their expectations, if they will join for the hunts, etc etc. I don't know what excursions are offered, but Namibia is a great country to visit, so it will also depend on the interest of the non-hunters, if they want fancy cafes it one thing, if they like fishing its another, or perhaps the like rock climbing, or hiking. Bottom line: please be more specific in your question, as well as in the subject line, then I am sure you will get more answers.

Hello and welcome. Jacques and Ansie (and Danie) run a class outfit. They were finishing up the new lodge when I was there last. I took my son for his first trip and we had a great time.
If you go to search function, you will find hunt reports under their name. Spend an evening or two reading them. I'm sure you will have a great hunt there. I didn't do anything but hunt so I can't speak to extra activities.

I have with Kowas and the Strauss family. They are top shelf and have the areas and animals. Jacques and his folks work hard to make sure you see plenty of game and are happy in the experience.
For non shooters, they have a pond/water hole close to the lodge area that has a blind. I went there several times to see animals and birds coming and going.
If you need a day time activity for non hunters, they have a couple of great photo areas and there are a lot sights so see within 50 miles of their operation.
Go. You will not regret it.

Thanks for the feedback. After reviewing my post with your input in mind I see how the questions I was asking were not as apparent as they could have been.

I hope you feel better soon.

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
