So, a sudden considerarion for me and I would welcome your comments.
I have a 'man room' that my gracious wife was willing to allow me to have, and in that room I have an open fire with a cast iron fire surround. It is the perfect place to hang a shoulder mount, but my fear is the heat from the open fire or even the warmth of the chimney breast causing the taxidermy to warp or change.
Is this a realistic fear? Is it something that I can mitigate somehow? Or am I worrying about nothing?
