Is this a river system hunt or a big pond on the concession?? Also I guess for a chance to hunt one on land I would be looking at the hotter drier months?

    Good Day

No the hippo is not in a river system we will be hunting multiple dams in search for him, yes hunting in the dryer months would better your chances in getting him on land. They are nocturnal animals and mostly come out late afternoon/ night to graze.

Yes there is a law against taking them at night we need to apply for a special permit, but I don’t think we will need to come to that we will be hunting from sunrise to late afternoon. It will not be easy but extremely rewarding:)

Hi Yancy, our drier months (May - Sep) are best as water levels are lower and temperatures are also lower allowing more time on land for the hippos.

If you still trying to decide if you should book this hunt then now is the time we currently on our way into winter it's getting dryer which means we will certainly get an opportunity to hunt a hippo, keep in mind our permit to hunt a hippo will no longer be available 2020.
    Regards
    Tyron
