Hippo and Buffalo Hide Tanning

Hello,



I just received my hippo and buffalo hides back from Tanzania and am looking for a good tannery to send them to here in the U.S. I’ve seen Sebring Custom Tannery recommended in a few places as well as Yost, but I’d love to hear any other recommendations people may have—especially from those with experience tanning heaver hides like hippo.



Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for a tannery that can do a suede finish on some hippo panels I have. Any recommendations?

Contact the wildlife gallery and see what they say. They sent my buffalo that i want tanned hair off to Yosts and i believe thats where my buddy’s hippo is headed as well
