I've lurking around here for a while on the advice of a friend. Most likely the largest game I'll ever chase is black bear. That's actually my favorite species.

I tend to migrate to, obscure calibers.
My favorite bear rifle is an 1896 vintage Sauer double rifle. Caliber is 11.2x60R. 11mm Mauser. Umm, let's see, 9.3x57 is on bench right now, a 16ga / 9.3x80 combo hammer gun, 33WCF Winchester 1886, another obscure is on its way. 7x61 left-handed Texas Magnum.

Thank you!

Welcome to AH!

Obscure calibers is an AH speciality. I have learned about at least 3 dozen I have never heard of.

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
Thanks,
Ross
