Hello from another new member!

Hi all,

I've been browsing these forums in the background for several months, and thought I should go ahead and fully join the part. Originally from KS, and currently based out of DFW, TX, I am a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and ourdoorsman.

The good Lord has blessed me to knock off some bucket list items, (including salmon fishing in Alaska with my old man, a plains game hunt in RSA with my brother, and lots more!) but I've got more to go if I keep waking up on the right side of the ground. Lots of whitetail and birds of many varieties have been in my sights, and I look forward to many more big game opportunities.

Finally, I am in the Home Entertainment sales business here in DFW. From simple TVs or speakers, to media rooms, to whole home systems with automation, I design and sell custom solutions to my clients all over the US, which helps pay for my habits.

I look forward to being a part of the AH community! Hopefully I can provide some insight or share my experiences.

I'll do a full write-up soon, but here's a condensed version. My brother won a live auction bid at an NRA banquet for up to 4 hunters on a 5 day hunt with Numzaan Safaris. 2 PHs for either 1x1 or 2x1 hunting. We went this past August 2019 and it was a first class experience all the way. It was myself, my brother and our dad, and we "mixed and matched" our time hunting 1x1 or 2x1 since sharing the experience was worth more to us than anything.

While I did not get a Kudu, which was my primary target, I was able to take a Blue wildebeest, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, impala, and blesbuck. All of which were part of my potential list, depending on opportunity for mature trophy animals. My brother, who had a 2nd trip already planned for 2020, got a 50" Kudu and a huge bossed black wildebeest, his only two target critters this trip. Our dad took his target Gemsbok & impala, then added a springbuck to his list while there with a couple days left.

My goal was to get Kudu, Impala, and another 3-4 animals from my possibles list. Had I done so, I would not have intended to return any time soon. However, the lack of Kudu now has me in the pre planning stages again, and thinking about what I'll add next time, and who I can get to go with me.
