Busy planning a meat hunt later in the year.
I've done nearly all my hunting with a 8x57, but age and thousands of shots caught up with the old rifle. I now have a 338 wm. Hope to get a 308 or 30-06 soon. Just something that is a little cheaper to feed.

Have you thought of getting the 8x57 rebarreled? The action can also be trued up if necessary. It's not that I'm against buying new rifles, but that I have a thing for old rifles and prefer to keep them up and running as well. Obviously you were very comfortable with your 8x57.
