MAdcox, with three future hunters in the mix it is time to start planning, saving and or whatever else might be necessary to bring their desires to fruition. Looking for a sugar daddy isn't an option.
Actually just got off the phone with a electrician to move all the TV and satellite stuff to the other side of the room because the Kudu is getting the center of the fireplace!
Looks great.... can’t wait to get mine back dropped my gemsbok off with my taxi today to start hope to have him back by the end of october
Kudu is a whopper and great looking. As to shrinkage? I don't know for sure, its sometimes used as a reason why an animal isn't as big as we remember or were told it was. I don't believe it would shrink 2 inches in a couple of years unless it spent a long time in the pot and then left out in the sun the whole time after. I have 3 kudu heads and none have shrunk at all, the oldest being taken in 1990. Just my opinion, either way that is a beauty.
Thank you. It’s another great reason not to have a tape in camp. I never really cared how many inches he was. I just loved the wide V and was pumped about the start of that 3rd curl plus the mass. He is exactly what I hoped for all those years of studying Kudu pictures and mounts.
Looks fabulous! Why did you mount him sideways? This post won't make any sense once J or W rotate the photo, but oh well.
I always thought it was built for a big bull elk, but the Africa bug bit before I got one big enough. I was a little afraid he would blend in too much but now that he is up I agree with you. Perfect.
Looks like the perfect home. Wish I had as fitting a space for mine he is going to fill my tiny gun room
