I absolutely love your rifle and love the .458 Winchester Magnum calibre . Here is a nice American brown bear which fell to my own .458 Winchester Magnum ( mine uses a 25 inch Douglas Premium barrel ) .

I used a 500 grain Nosler Partition . Happy hunting to you .

Nice, I hope you get a nice bear , they would make a cool trophy.

NICE but a bit light I'm glad you went for the magna porting. I bet she would be a noisy SOB with a bite at both ends.

Nice Rifle. Very pretty. I have few rugers and a few cz550's in 458 win mag. Havent tried any of them yet. Recently got couple of cases of Barnes 450gr ammo's. Stocked up with brass and bullets for reloading. I need to take some time off and do some range time. Your rifle is gorgeous.

Not too many people have good thing to say about Nosler partition for DG. How and what is your experience with them.

@krish
I can only speak for myself . I have successfully used them for broadside shots on Australian water buffalo . I have used them to hunt four American bears ( two black bears , two grizzly bears ) . I have also used them to shoot two marauding Royal Bengal tigers ( under the authorization of the Sundarban Forest Department ) and a marauding cheetah ( also known as Asiatic leopard ) under the authorization of the Maulvi Bazaar Forest Department . I have also successfully taken wild boars with them ( Bangladeshi , American , Australian and European ) . Too many to count . I have never had even the slightest problem .

This may also be of interest to you .

While not dangerous game , I successfully took this ibex with a single 250 grain Nosler Partition fired from a .338 Winchester Magnum .

Hi James, congratulations on winning a copy of Cries of the Savanna! I appreciate your interest in the book and hope you enjoy it.

I am leaving in an hour for the airport to meet up with my husband for a week so I will mail it as soon as I get home. I am sorry about the poor timing and making you wait.

Anyway, send me your address and I will get it in the mail as soon as I can.

Thanks again for entering!

Hi its Tim Walker. Friend of Mike Stone esquire in Covington. Loved the trophies in the house. Hated the fire...
