Greetings!
I have been a long-time reader and lurker and decided to man-up and join the community.
I am from Natal but grew up on the family farm in Limpopo. Passionate about conservation through hunting. Spent most of my childhood running around big-5 country unarmed except for a .22lr on occasion. Nearly had to use it when it looked like a leopard was going to catch the Jack-Russel!
Currently studying in the UK Midlands.
I am a blued-steel and walnut man.

Welcome aboard Nkawu. Are you planning to return to Africa once you finish your studies? What field are you going into?

Hi Shootist43, I am just finishing up my PhD in geology. After doing economics and geology degrees in South Africa, up to Masters level, I was unable to find meaningful employment. I was lucky enough to get a scholarship to study in the UK. I would love to go back and pursue mineral exploration or work on a mine, but I am not overly optimistic about job prospects back home. I may have better luck with the European/UK hydrocarbons industry.
