Good Gun Deals This Week

Seems fair Ruger No1 mint 9.3x74r

This one weird it did not sell yet
Winchester supergrade 458 - not a lot of them made pre 64 !

they dont seem to be getting their customers - lot of stock is dying 9.3x62 are cheaper than Europe and someone exported them
I bought the No.1! I'm extremely happy about it too. I'll let you know how it looks on Friday! Thanks, My Friend!

A Ruger No. 1 in 7x57 or a Ruger No. 1 in 375 H&H. Either one for $1,499. That's a pretty good price these days. If I didn't already have a 6.5x55, 275 Rigby & a 9.3x74r, I'd probably buy both of them.

Nice! Where are these listed?

Cabelas. Sorry. Too early to process. Thanks for the heads up! Killer combo!

Something tells me that @buckstix had prolly been asked that same question and answered it a number of times. Hard to collect and share so many of those Mo-bigger bore rifles and not have genuinely curious gents ask the question. Was thinking he brought some of his collection to shows now and then but might have him confused with another member—if so, he’s probably fielded that question a couple times an hour.

As an owner of a few big bores, albeit the little 505 Gibbs is the biggest, I also too am curious what one hunts with a 700NE. Regardless, cool round and a fun one to watch others shoot.

In retrospect it seems It was a genuine question for as large a caliber as this and to use it in Wisconsin.

When I read the sequence of comments I did not perceive a snide aspect- and an 18 pound gun is heavy in any one's hands to be carrying it around all day.

It would require a couple gun bears for a long hunt.

Might be a bit overkill on deer in the straight walled only states. But what a rifle to hunt out of a blind with.

Arron Little does some fine work! It is a double I would be proud to be the caretaker of but is a bit outta my price range.

The last picture did show a downed white tail

It took 5 years of hunting seasons to get that deer. It was difficult to get within 50 yards of a Wisconsin whitetail, and then slowly stand up to shoot, because you can't shoot a 700NE sitting down. The 700NE was setup and ready - the 7mag was also ready for long shots.

Amazing!. Did you use a soft or solid? Devastating damage either way, I'm sure.

I used a Woodleigh 1000g soft nose - shot him lengthwise in the low neck-high chest, and found the bullet under the hide in his butt cheek. It had 990g remaining weight and expanded to over 2 inches in diameter. Very little meat damage - only one less neck roast. :D

The bottom picture reminds me of a meteorite. Very cool.

Not to sound critical, but is that your "blind"?
yes ... I hunt along an old abandon east/west runway ... I'm tucked in along the south side and have harvested over 150 deer in the last 50 years by hunting this way. The deer step out and look around, and then I kill them. I have 500 yards shooting in both directions.

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
