Good day from South Africa...Hunting season to start this weekend...
Where are you hunting this time? What is on the menu?
I have a bow hunt planned for bush pig, and a Eland with the 308, and I think I will dust off the old 250-3000 savage just to spice up things. It will all be done near Thabazimi
I think the Thabazimi area is very beautiful. Good luck on your hunt.
I have an AH buddy that lives in Pretoria. He and his son hunted near Thabazimbi a couple of weeks ago. The vegetation and grass was pretty tall and thick. Their hunt was very successful and they now have biltong and Dry Wors hanging. I hunted near Thabazimbi in 2916 with Cruiser Safaris. My Ph's name was Hans Moatshe. I harvested a cull Eland cow with my 35 Whelen on my first hunt and a SCI "gold" Eland Bull with my 404 Jeffery on my second safari last year. They are big animals. Good luck!!
Good luck and shoot straight
Happy hunting season.
Good luck and all the best.
